Armando Iannucci (Veep) is making political satire The Death of Stalin (based on a French graphic novel) and the cast looks interesting so far.

Mother and daughter Vanessa Redgrave and Joely Richardson will star together in Henry James adaptation The Aspern Papers.

The movie based on Dominique Paul’s The Possibility of Fireflies is set to star Courtney Love and Joey King. I’m not sure I realized Courtney Love was starring in movies now.

Glenn Gordon Caron (Moonlighting) is adapting Alan Glynn’s novel Paradime for ITV Studios America.

News for fans of Santa: There’s an adaptation of Matt Haig’s A Boy Called Christmas in the works.

Trailer: The Butler

The ButlerVia Yahoo! Movies, we have a trailer for The Butler, which will be out in theaters in October. It’s based on the true story of White House butler Eugene Allen and the article “A Butler Well Served by This Election” by Wil Haygood. The cast is pretty incredible: Forest Whitaker stars in the title role, and various former presidents and first ladies are played by Robin Williams, John Cusack, Melissa Leo, Alan Rickman, Jane Fonda, Liev Schreiber, Minka Kelly, and more. The cast also includes Oprah Winfrey, Mariah Carey, Cuba Gooding Jr., Vanessa Redgrave, Lenny Kravitz . . . I’m going to stop now so this doesn’t get ridiculous, but this is seriously a huge list of big names.
