Teaser Trailer: In the Heart of the Sea

In the Heart of the SeaWarner Bros. has released the first teaser trailer for In the Heart of the Sea, and it looks terrifying. It’s based on the book of the same name by Nathaniel Philbrick and stars Chris Hemsworth, Cillian Murphy, Ben Whishaw, and more. The movie will be in theaters on March 13th.

Dan Brown’s Inferno Set for December 2015

Yesterday, Deadline reported that Sony has scheduled the movie version of Dan Brown’s fourth Robert Langdon novel, Inferno, to hit theaters on December 18, 2015. Yes, this means that it will come before the movie based on the third book, The Lost Symbol, if indeed Lost Symbol ever actually happens. Star Tom Hanks and director Ron Howard are both set to return for Inferno. David Koepp, who wrote Angels and Demons, will write the screenplay.

Tom Holland Joins In the Heart of the Sea

Tom HollandDeadline reports that British actor Tom Holland (The Impossible) has joined the cast of In the Heart of the Sea, based on the nonfiction book by Nathaniel Philbrick. It’s about the true story of the whaleship Essex, on which Moby-Dick was based. He’ll reportedly be playing Thomas Nickerson, a young cabin boy who survived the ordeal and later wrote about it; his account was one of Philbrick’s sources for the book. Chris Hemsworth is starring and Ron Howard directing. The adaptation was written by Charles Leavitt.
