Two big pieces of news for you, Bones fans! First of all, the show has been renewed for season ten. From the press release quoted at Give Me My Remote:
“Over the course of nine seasons, BONES has grown from a hit crime procedural into a beloved pillar of our lineup that resonates with fans in a way that only the best of shows can,” said Kevin Reilly, Chairman of Entertainment, Fox Broadcasting Company in a statement. . . . “Our viewers have embraced Emily, David and the entire cast and characters of BONES as their very own, and I think they are going to love what Hart Hanson and Stephen Nathan have planned for Season 10!”
In addition, the show is moving back to Mondays! Starting on March 10th, it will return to its 8/7c Monday slot (after Almost Human) is done for the season.

Remember Backstrom? It used to be a CBS pilot, executive produced by Bones‘s Hart Hanson and based on a mystery series by Swedish author Leif G.W. Persson. And now it’s going to be a series on Fox! They have ordered a thirteen-episode season of the show, which will star Rainn Wilson, Kristoffer Polaha, Dennis Haysbert, Page Kennedy, and Beatrice Rosen. We posted about some other casting for the previous incarnation of the show, but I’m not sure whether those actors – including Mamie Gummer as the female lead – are remaining in place. Via Give Me My Remote:
“Hart Hanson and Rainn Wilson are the perfect combination of creative vision and on-screen talent to bring this one-of-a-kind character and story like BACKSTROM to FOX,” said Kevin Reilly, Chairman of Entertainment, Fox Broadcasting Company in a statement. “I’ve been in business with Hart for a long time, and not only does he have a rare gift for infusing darker themes with relatable humor, he’s one of the best showrunners out there today. Together with Rainn – who absolutely nails this role and makes it a classic FOX character – I think we’ve got something really special here.”

It’s the first renewal of the new season! Fox has announced that they’ve picked up Sleepy Hollow for a 13-episode season two. From the announcement, via Give Me My Remote:
“The show has proven to be a risk well worth taking – it’s a conceptual blast unlike anything else on television and it all holds together with inventive writing and a fantastic cast,” said Kevin Reilly, Chairman of Entertainment, Fox Broadcasting Company in the official Fox announcement. “I can’t wait for fans to experience what else is in store for this fall and even more of this wild ride into Season Two.”
