Movie News: Pan, Divergent, Lean In, Through the Looking Glass, Ant-Man

Ellie Goulding and Zedd have been confirmed for the Divergent soundtrack.

Sony has acquired the film rights to Sheryl Sandberg’s Lean In: Women, Work, and the Will to Lead.

Tim Burton’s Alice in Wonderland sequel, set for release in May 2016, will be called Through the Looking Glass and Sacha Baron Cohen may star.

Ant-Man‘s release date has moved to July 17, 2015.

Adam Horowitz & Eddy Kitsis Talk Once: Wonderland at GMMR

Once Upon a TimeWondering what’s going on with the potential Once Upon a Time spinoff Once: Wonderland? Head over to Give Me My Remote for an update from showrunners Adam Horowitz and Eddy Kitsis.

“There’s been weird things written here and there, but I can tell you the truth: WONDERLAND takes place post-curse, so the pilot of WONDERLAND actually starts when magic comes and the wraith happens,” ONCE UPON A TIME co-creator Eddy Kitsis told reporters earlier today. “And then it runs concurrent. So we are in WONDERLAND, post-Queen of Hearts. And like we saw in the Enchanted Forest, there were pockets that were saved. And then we will flashback during the show to…how did Alice get there.”

Once: Wonderland Casts 3, Including Sophie Lowe as Alice

Sophie LoweGive Me My Remote confirms that Sophie Lowe has been cast in the lead role of Alice in ABC’s potential Once Upon a Time miniseries spinoff, now called Once: Wonderland. In addition, Peter Gadiot has been cast as Alice’s love interest Cyrus and Michael Socha as the Knave of Hearts. Once EPs Adam Horowitz and Edward Kitsis have enlisted Jane Espenson and Zack Estrin to work with them on Once: Wonderland. (But a caution, before you get too excited: this casting is for a four-scene presentation, and we don’t know yet whether Once: Wonderland will ever see the light of day.)

NBC Orders Alice in Wonderland Pilot

According to The Hollywood Reporter, NBC has ordered an Alice of Wonderland sequel of sorts from CSI creator Anthony Zuiker. Whit Anderson is writing the pilot. The concept:

Taking place seven years ago, when Clara’s life took an unexplained turn for the worse. A mysterious stranger tells her there may be an explanation after all… an explanation that lies in the fantastical world of Wonderland. Determined to revive her dreams and get her life back on track, Clara agrees to wage war against the reigning but malevolent Queen, the woman we once knew as Alice.
