Once: Wonderland Casts 3, Including Sophie Lowe as Alice

Sophie LoweGive Me My Remote confirms that Sophie Lowe has been cast in the lead role of Alice in ABC’s potential Once Upon a Time miniseries spinoff, now called Once: Wonderland. In addition, Peter Gadiot has been cast as Alice’s love interest Cyrus and Michael Socha as the Knave of Hearts. Once EPs Adam Horowitz and Edward Kitsis have enlisted Jane Espenson and Zack Estrin to work with them on Once: Wonderland. (But a caution, before you get too excited: this casting is for a four-scene presentation, and we don’t know yet whether Once: Wonderland will ever see the light of day.)

More Biblical Adaptations in the Works

In the wake of the History Channel’s success with their miniseries The Bible, which has its finale this weekend on Easter Sunday, others are planning to get into the game. National Geographic Channel is following up their successful Killing Lincoln production (and forthcoming Killing Kennedy) with a third adaptation of Bill O’Reilly and Martin Dugard’s series, this one Killing Jesus. Meanwhile, Michael Landon Jr. is writing and producing miniseries Jesus of Nazareth for MPCA. Neither production has begun casting yet, so hey, any ideas? Who would you cast as Jesus, Mary, Pontius Pilate, and other iconic figures?

Game of Thrones Featurette: Inside the Wildlings

Game of ThronesThere’s been a ton of Game of Thrones content appearing this week and I know it can get overwhelming, but I really suggest fans take the time to watch this featurette “Inside the Wildlings,” about the construction of the civilization beyond the wall. It features George R.R. Martin, the cast, the producers, and key people like the costume, hair, and weapons supervisors shedding some light on key aspects of the wildlings, and the way they tie the larger plot elements in to minute, careful decisions about clothes, structures, and more is really fascinating.
